Xenia Gregoriadis is a Brighton-based artist. Her work explores embodiment and the felt sense of being in relationship — with others, and with paint itself. Working through colour, touch and surface, paint becomes a site where memory and emotion emerge. Her paintings often begin with a resonance — something glimpsed in a photograph, gesture or atmosphere — which then unfolds through material process. She is interested in how we read and feel one another, and in the subtle exchanges between bodies.
Xenia completed a UAL Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Art and Design with Distinction at Brighton Metropolitan College, followed by a BA (Hons) in Fine Art Painting at the University of Brighton.
Her work has been selected for the Jackson’s Art Prize Extended Longlist and featured in the a-n Degree Shows Guide.
